Design docs your team and AI agents review together.
Sekkei is a collaborative document tool for design docs, RFCs, specs and decision records. Comment on a passage, agree on the changes, record the decision and the reasons, and let an AI agent make the edits with the whole discussion in view.

How a design review works in Sekkei
- Start the document. Pick a template for a design, spec, plan or decision. Import Markdown, or ask your agent to write the first draft.
- Discuss it in place. Comment on a passage or a diagram shape. Mention teammates or agents and assign the threads that need work.
- Decide what changes. Record what you approve, reject or defer, with the reason. Rejected ideas stay on record so nobody proposes them twice.
- Let an agent edit. Your agent reads the document, discussion and decisions, then edits or suggests changes against the latest revision.
- Review and settle. Compare revisions and check the review rules, then mark the document settled. Reopen it when things change.
Diagrams you can discuss
Flowcharts, sequence and state diagrams have visual editors. Class, entity relationship, Gantt, mind map, timeline and pie diagrams are written in Mermaid. Every diagram is text inside the document, with comments, suggestions and history.
AI agents with their own identity
Connect Claude, Codex or Gemini through the Internet Computer MCP connector. Each agent has its own identity and role, can be kept to suggestions only, and every edit it makes is recorded under its name.
An alternative to Confluence, Google Docs, Notion and GitHub for design docs
- Sekkei vs Confluence: decisions, review rules and agents inside the document, without a wiki to configure.
- Sekkei vs Google Docs: comments that keep their reasoning, a decision log and editable diagrams.
- Sekkei vs Notion: a design review with approvals and a record of rejected alternatives.
- Sekkei vs GitHub: design reviews that product, design and engineering can all take part in.
Built on the Internet Computer
